Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta is seeking a dedicated Floater to support early childhood classrooms across our branches. You will assist lead teachers with lesson plans, manage daily activities, and ensure a safe, engaging environment aligned with Bright from the Start licensing.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 19, and complete health and safety requirements. Expect collaborative teamwork, family engagement, and ongoing professional development within a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• TB screening and a Physical must be submitted before working.
• Must obtain First Aid/CPR & 10 hour Health & Safety Orientation within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support lead and assistant teachers in developing lesson plans to meet early learning standards.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Engage with families and participate in school readiness activities.
• Follow health practices and document daily activities and assessments.
• Maintain compliance with YMCA policies and program goals.
