Job summary

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Floater - Teacher for all locations in Georgia to support high-quality early learning aligned with licensing standards. The role involves implementing curriculum goals, assisting lead teachers, and engaging families to promote children's growth.

You will work across classrooms, maintain records, ensure safety, and participate in required trainings. Must have a high school diploma or GED, be 19+, obtain First Aid/CPR and Health & Safety orientation, and pass

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with children in a learning setting.
• Ability to adhere to licensing and curriculum standards.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality early learning using program goals and objectives.
• Develop lesson plans with lead/assistant teachers across multiple domains.
• Work as a team member to meet the needs of children, classroom and center.
• Build relationships with children; provide responsive, caring, culturally sensitive support.
• Participate in family-style meals and child-centered conversations with families.
• Maintain clean, organized classroom and record-keeping per program requirements.
• Ensure safety; supervise children during all activities indoors and outdoors.
• Complete incident reports and follow documentation protocols with directors.
• Attend trainings to meet BFTS and YMCA requirements; pass background checks.
