Uncommon Schools is a nonprofit network of high-performing public charter schools committed to closing the college completion gap. This role supports Pre-K teachers with instruction, assessment, and enrichment activities in Camden and surrounding locations.

The position offers part-time hours (Mon-Thu 10:00–2:00, Fri 1:00–5:00) with Aftercare support on Fridays, and a climate that values equity, progress, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instruction coverage, assessments, grading, and classroom responsibilities.
• Potentially teach small groups of students.
• Observe Master Teachers to improve instructional techniques and classroom management.
• Provide administrative support: copies, hallway/bathroom duty, organize materials.
• Fridays: support Aftercare activities with enrichment staff.
• Participate in grade-level activities, school-wide events, and trips.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
