Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Mark Newbie Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7:00-8:30 am and 2:45-5:45 pm).

This part-time position emphasizes care, safety, and positive guidance for children aged 5-12. Benefits include employer-paid childcare and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Candidates must successfully pass all required state background checks.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
• Positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues, along with a consistent record of reliability and punctuality.
• High School Diploma is required for consideration.
• 1 year of childcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
