Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking Pre-K Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Beekman Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

The Beekman Elementary School location in Poughquag, NY offers morning and afternoon slots (6:30 AM–9:15 AM and 2:15 PM–6:30 PM) with opportunities for either program or both, supporting young learners in a caring, structured environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
