Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Pre-Fabrication Manager for a site-based role in Western New York. You will lead pre-fabrication and plate processing in a heavy fabrication setting, coordinating CNC cutting, drilling and related activities to meet project goals.

You will manage supervisors and skilled workers, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while driving throughput and equipment utilisation. A focus on KPIs and continuous improvement is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy plate processing.
• Proven production or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Familiarity with CNC cutting and automated fabrication equipment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, productivity and manufacturing flow.
• Experience driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-fabrication and plate processing activities in a heavy fabrication environment.
• Lead supervisors and production employees, ensuring safety, quality, labour planning, throughput and equipment utilisation.
• Identify bottlenecks, reduce downtime and establish meaningful KPIs to improve production flow.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to support automation and process improvements.
• Lead and develop production teams to improve performance and output.
