Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Project Manager specializing in structural steel and miscellaneous metals. You will own projects from detailing through erection and closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in structural steel, with experience in fabrication, detailing, erection and coordinating shop drawings, schedules, and RFIs. Travel and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in structural steel or miscellaneous metals
• Experience with steel fabricators/erectors/contractors
• Understanding of fabrication, detailing and erection processes
• Experience managing project financials, schedules and change orders
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office
• Coordinate customers, engineers, shop teams and field personnel
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
• Steel erection experience is valuable
• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; structural steel priority

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, financial reporting and cost control
• Maintain project schedules, milestones and progress tracking
• Handle RFIs, change orders and subcontractor coordination
• Oversee shop drawings, detailing and engineering coordination
• Track fabrication progress and delivery schedules
• Coordinate erection activities with field teams
• Maintain client communication, meetings and site visits
• Manage multiple projects and maintain delivery on track
