Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is seeking a Production Manager for a leading steel fabrication business in Florida. This hands-on leadership role focuses on safe, efficient production operations, throughput, productivity, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

You will lead production teams in a complex fabrication environment, drive 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, plan labor, coordinate with Scheduling, and coach area leads to enhance performance while upholding EHS policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in bridge fabrication, structural steel fabrication, or a comparable complex/heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma principles and their practical application.
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management.
• Familiarity with business and financial principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all work performed across assigned production areas and departments.
• Plan labor and workloads to support efficient execution of the production schedule.
• Work closely with Production Scheduling to understand requirements and identify operational gaps.
• Drive operational excellence through 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure teams operate in line with fabrication plans while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coach and manage area leads and production teams, supporting performance and development.
• Support a strong safety culture by addressing unsafe behaviors and ensuring EHS policies and guidelines are followed.
