Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a Pre-Employment Transition Instructor to lead engaging classroom instruction for high school students with disabilities. The role involves designing lessons that prepare students for employment, postsecondary education, independent living, and lifelong success while building partnerships with schools and community partners in Onslow County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• Experience teaching, training, or facilitating instruction.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license with a driving record that meets agency standards.
• Ability to travel between school sites throughout Onslow County.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging instruction for high school students (ages 14–22) in Pre-ETS.
• Cover the five Pre-ETS areas: Job Exploration Counseling, Work-Based Learning, Workplace Readiness, Self-Advocacy, Postsecondary Education Counseling.
• Adapt instruction to diverse learning styles and student needs.
• Collaborate with school staff, facilitators, and community partners.
