Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Instructor to work with students with disabilities in the Topsail area across Pender and Onslow counties. You will plan and deliver instruction, teach career readiness, and adapt lessons to individual needs to prepare students for college, work, and independent living.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (or equivalent experience), a NC driver's license, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience teaching or working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction for different learning needs.
• Must hold a valid North Carolina driver's license and have acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel between school sites and the Onslow County office.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging classroom instruction
• Teach career readiness and practical life skills
• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs
• Lead individual and small-group activities
• Develop lesson materials and hands-on activities
• Track student progress and maintain program documentation
• Collaborate with facilitators and school staff
• Travel between assigned school sites in Pender and Onslow counties
• Report to the Onslow County office 2–3 times per week
