Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Instructor to serve students with disabilities across Rockingham & Caswell Counties. The role delivers Pre-ETS instruction to help explore careers, build workplace skills, and promote independence.

You will plan lessons, adapt to individual needs, track progress, and collaborate with school staff while traveling between assigned high schools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• Experience teaching or working with students with disabilities.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction for different learning needs.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Job Type: Full-Time | 10-month

Location: Rockingham & Caswell Counties

Pay: $22.00/hour

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a High School Pre-Employment Transition Instructor to work with students with disabilities throughout Rockingham & Caswell Counties. As part of our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program, you'll lead instruction that helps students explore career opportunities, develop workplace skills, and prepare for greater independence after high school.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education,Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Experience teaching or working with students with disabilities
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt instruction for different learning needs
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to travel between Rockingham County & Caswell County school sites
• Ability to complete a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 10-25 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the day
