Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in the United States is seeking an Assistant Project Manager within our Pre-Construction Services group to support renewable energy and power infrastructure projects from feasibility through construction readiness. This role is based in Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, AZ, with periodic travel to project sites and client locations.

Working with seasoned project managers, developers, owners, and engineers, you will assist with schedules, budgets, risk tracking, and development

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in project management, construction, energy, or infrastructure.
• Interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and client interaction.
• Willingness to travel periodically to project sites and client locations.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with pre-construction planning and execution for renewable energy and power generation projects.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, scopes of work, and development plans.
• Coordinate with developers, owners, utilities, engineers, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Track project action items, deliverables, decisions, risks, and key milestones.
• Support site due diligence, permitting, interconnection, constructability, and development activities.
• Assist with reviewing engineering documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
• Help develop bid packages, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
• Participate in project meetings and help maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Assist with identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
• Support the transition of projects from pre-construction into construction.
• Prepare project updates, presentations, reports, and other decision‑support materials for clients and leadership.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
