Commercial Construction Estimator

General Responsibilities:

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of the estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Lead pre-construction meetings and estimate reviews.
• Manage document distribution and information coordination for estimates among team members.
• Conduct quantity surveys and detailed pricing across disciplines.
• Adhere to established means and methods utilized in the organization's preconstruction manual in order to provide consistent quality and accurate results.
• Engage in business development and presentations.

Senior Estimator Duties:

• Train and mentor senior estimators and staff.
• Participate in industry organization networking and continuing education and subject matter training opportunities. Provide research and summarized reports on technology, software and advances in the industry that could benefit to organization.
• Create narratives that describe the quality and scope of cost estimates.
• Lead conceptual cost model development and value engineering solutions.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience in pre-construction, estimating scopes of work for commercial, specifically data centers and healthcare.
• Proficiency in company technology and preconstruction systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

• College degree in Engineering or Construction Management or commensurate experience.
