Job description

The Estimator is responsible for preparing complete and accurate estimates for each project phase. This role collaborates with clients, architects/engineers, and subcontractors/suppliers to plan cost factors for building projects. Key responsibilities include analyzing construction documents, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.

Minimum Requirements

• Four (4) year postsecondary degree in a related field (building science, construction management, civil engineering, etc.) or relevant work experience in lieu of degree/certification
• At least five (5) years of estimating experience
• Ability to read and understand contracts, engineering, and architectural drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, iSqFt, SmartBid, On-Screen Takeoff
