DS Jordan Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Construction Estimator with extensive experience in restaurant and retail projects. This individual will play a critical role in forecasting the cost, resources, and timeline of construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and market data. The Estimator will support the pre-construction process by developing accurate and competitive bids, helping clients and internal stakeholders make informed budgeting and feasibility decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes.
• Coordinate and process Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), and internal pricing requests, including the dissemination of bid invitations.
• Prepare, proofread, and deliver high-quality proposals for both private and public sector projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Marketing, and administrative teams to integrate all required components into compelling and compliant proposals.
• Evaluate sub-tier bids for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with bidding regulations, client-specific goals, and internal standards.
• Develop and present strategic proposals and presentations to both existing and prospective clients.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
• Maintain proficiency in all internal estimating systems and software tools.
• Implement quality control measures to minimize risk and ensure consistent estimating accuracy. Promptly communicate scope changes or revenue-impacting issues to senior leadership.
• Identify strategic opportunities within proposals to enhance DS Jordan Construction’s competitive positioning.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects. Experience estimating restaurant and retail projects is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of Mechanical Engineering Plans (MEPs) with ability to interpret and analyze construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating tools and software, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrated commercial awareness and experience working directly with clients.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to drive results under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, team members, and vendors.
• Knowledge of cost control strategies, financial management principles, and construction project lifecycles.
