New Jersey Institute of Technology is seeking a Pre-College Hourly Teaching Assistant to support students in summer programs run by the Center for Pre-College Programs. The role requires college enrollment for Fall 2026 and a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with full availability for Summer 2026 activities.
You will assist instructors in math, communications, computer science, and engineering, supervise groups of up to 24 students, and help assess progress while modeling exemplary behavior.

Position Summary: Work as a Teaching Assistant for academic summer programs that are run through the Center for Pre-College Programs for post 4th grade - post 11th grade students.
You are required to attend all general meetings with program directors and staff, training sessions, and clean‑up dates.
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the hourly range for this position is $15.92-$18.00 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
