Job summary

NeoGenomics is seeking a Pre-Analytical Laboratory Supervisor to lead an Accessioning and Histology team in Durham, NC. This onsite role runs Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with responsibilities for supervision, task assignment, and ensuring reliable, timely patient-focused results.

You will develop area procedures, monitor quality metrics, and ensure SOP compliance while coaching staff and collaborating with operations leadership to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in healthcare/science.
• Ability to make sound decisions under stress.
• History of leading teams to meet quality and output goals.
• Experience working in a biohazard environment and safety policies.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
• Proficient computer skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of the operation and personnel to ensure on-time results.
• Follows department procedures and guides team in executing tasks.
• Presents data across team and department; communicates with managers and clients.
• Maintains and updates department SOPs to reflect current processes.
• Monitors quality metrics; ensures corrective actions are documented and executed.
• Supports staff selection, training, and skills development.
