Job summary

NeoGenomics is seeking a Pre-Analytical Laboratory Supervisor in Durham, NC to lead an Accessioning and Histology team. The role includes daily supervision, task assignment, coaching staff, and ensuring accurate and timely results for clients.

You will develop and implement area procedures, monitor quality and production metrics, train personnel, and ensure SOPs reflect current processes. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of supervisory experience in a lab setting are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent laboratory experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare, scientific, or related field.
• Ability to make sound decisions under stressful situations.
• Demonstrated success leading teams to achieve goals and meet high performance standards.
• Ability to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of the operation and personnel performing tasks and reporting information and results.
• Presents data and information across team, department, and staff groups.
• Maintains detailed procedures to meet department requirements; updates SOPs as needed.
• Reports problems to management to ensure timely resolution.
• Initiates and monitors QC programs and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Supports selection, retention, and training of qualified personnel; coaches staff.
