Job summary

NeoGenomics in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking an Accessioning Supervisor to lead the operations of the Accessioning team on a Tue-Sat 9:00pm-5:30am schedule, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to SOPs. The role collaborates with Client Services, Logistics, Case Management, Lab Ops, and Pathology Support to support our mission of improving patient care.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience supervising a support services operation or business function preferred.
• Prior experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading team members to reach goals and objectives.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all employees and clients.
• Able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards.
• Able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the staff and daily operations of assigned departments.
• Works with department leads to handle escalated issues for assigned business functions.
• Ensures employees are trained and compliant with SOPs and competency checklists.
• Keeps records up-to-date and maintained per departmental policies.
• Sets department objectives and monitors staffing to meet goals.
• Supervises personnel management activities including hiring and training staff.
• Conducts performance appraisals and plans for improvement.
• Contributes to development of internal systems to support workflow.
• Maintains knowledge of CAP/CLIA requirements.
