United Surgical Partners International is seeking a registered nurse to plan, direct, organize, and implement nursing care for Pre-Admission Testing patients, ensuring safety and quality delivery in compliance with TJC and state standards.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, assessing needs across age groups, coordinating pre-operative testing and teaching, using MediTech for documentation, and communicating with leadership about complex cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Minimum 5 years RN experience, 3 in perioperative or adult acute care.
• Invalid state license: Texas RN license currently active.
• BLS certification.
• Strong nursing judgment and decision-making ability.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of adult acute disease processes.

Responsabilités

• Plan, direct, organize and implement nursing care for Pre-Admission Testing patients.
• Provide direct patient care within RN scope and hospital policies.
• Assess psychosocial, educational, and physical needs across age groups.
• Respond to emergencies and prioritize care plans.
• Coordinate pre-operative testing, physician evaluations and teaching.
• Document per policies and utilize MediTech for patient data.
• Flag complex cases to department leadership in a timely manner.
