Job description

**Job Description:**

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other appointments captured by the department. Completes any administrative work associated with scheduling the appointment. Transcribes external orders from physicians. Handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

**Essential Functions:**

  1. Utilizes multiple systems to perform all scheduling functions as needed.
  2. Exhibits excellent computer skills with the ability to self-resolve technical issues with minimal assistance.
  3. Provides patients with preparation and location information.
  4. Accurately collects and inputs patient data into the system.
  5. Validates patient insurance and explains benefits as needed.
  6. Manages multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  7. Acts as a mentor for new hires as needed.
  8. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adheres to service behavior standards.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

  • Must pass ALTA Language Services QBS assessment for bilingual roles.

**Additional Physical Requirements:**

  • Visual acuity to read information, labels, and monitors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively during interactions.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment.
  • For driving roles: ability to operate a vehicle safely.

**Location:** Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

**Scheduled Weekly Hours:** 40

The hourly rate ranges from $18.81 to $24.26, depending on experience.
