Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other departmental appointments. Completes associated administrative tasks, transcribes external orders from physicians, and handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions:

  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions.
  2. Resolve technical issues independently with strong computer skills.
  3. Provide patients with appointment preparation and location information.
  4. Accurately input and validate patient data, including insurance details and benefits explanations.
  5. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  6. Mentor new hires as needed.
  7. Promote and abide by the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in revenue cycle or contact center experience.
  • Must pass the ALTA Language Services QBS assessment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading and identifying information and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and understanding spoken information.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and performing computer and phone tasks.
  • Driving responsibilities include sitting, seeing, and reading traffic signs and signals.

Location & Compensation:

Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Scheduled weekly hours: 40

Hourly rate: $18.81 - $24.26 (dependent on experience)
