Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department-related appointments. Completes administrative tasks associated with scheduling and transcribes external orders from physicians. Handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions:

  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions.
  2. Maintain excellent computer skills and resolve technical issues independently.
  3. Provide patients with appointment preparation and location information.
  4. Accurately input and validate patient data, including insurance information and benefits explanation.
  5. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  6. Mentor new hires as needed.
  7. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhere to service standards.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • At least 2 years of revenue cycle or contact center experience.
  • Must pass the ALTA Language Services QBS assessment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading and assessing information.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and understanding spoken information.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and technology.
  • For driver roles, the ability to operate a vehicle safely.

Location: Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Work Hours: 40 hours/week, $18.81 - $24.26/hour depending on experience
