Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department-captured appointments. Completes administrative tasks related to scheduling and transcribes external orders from physicians. Handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions:

  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions.
  2. Resolve technical issues independently with strong computer skills.
  3. Provide patients with appointment preparation and location information.
  4. Accurately input and validate patient data and insurance information, explaining benefits as needed.
  5. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  6. Mentor new hires as needed.
  7. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhere to service standards.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle and/or contact center experience.
  • Must pass the ALTA Language Services QBS assessment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading information and labels.
  • Effective communication for interactions with customers and understanding spoken information.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and technology.
  • For driving roles: ability to drive, see, and read signs and signals.

Location & Work Details:

  • Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado
  • 40 hours per week
  • Hourly rate: $18.81 - $24.26, based on experience
