Job description

Job Description:

Schedules and pre-registers patients for appointments, outpatient visits, procedures, and other department-specific appointments. Completes administrative tasks related to scheduling and transcribes external orders from physicians. Handles high call volumes across multiple locations and departments.

Essential Functions:

  1. Utilize multiple systems to perform scheduling functions efficiently.
  2. Exhibit excellent computer skills and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
  3. Provide patients with information regarding preparation and location.
  4. Accurately collect and input patient data into systems.
  5. Validate patient insurance details and explain benefits as needed.
  6. Manage multiple phone calls, including answering, transferring, and conferencing.
  7. Mentor new hires as needed.
  8. Promote the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and adhere to service standards.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 4 years of revenue cycle experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of revenue cycle or contact center experience.
  • Must pass the ALTA Language Services Qualified Bilingual Staff Assessment (QBS).

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity for reading information, labels, monitors, and assessing customer needs.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and understanding spoken information.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and performing computer and phone tasks.
  • Driving responsibilities include sitting, seeing, reading signs, and recognizing traffic signals and vehicles.

Location: Peaks Regional Office, Broomfield, Colorado

Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, with hourly rates ranging from $18.81 to $24.26 depending on experience.
