Job summary

Auburn University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Early American History (Pre-1815). The successful candidate will teach the first half of the US Survey, an upper-level class on the American Revolution, and graduate seminars, with opportunities to develop specialized courses.

In-person instruction and contributions to the core history curriculum are expected. Applicants must hold a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in History or related field is required; ABD candidates may be considered but degree must be completed by start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach the first half of the US Survey and an upper-level course on the American Revolution.
• Graduate seminars in Early American history; develop specialized courses in field of expertise.
• Contribute to Auburn’s core history curriculum and in-person instruction.
