Job Summary

Employment Type: Full‑Time
Pay Range: $60,631 - $87,578 annually

In partnership with the chief of staff, the Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day‑to‑day operations so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Your medical practice management skills will be put to use to drive business results, and your people‑leadership skills will come into play as you develop associates and foster an engaging team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and develop associates.
• Educate associates on Banfield guidelines, practices, and Optimum Wellness Plans®.
• Budget and plan for the hospital, supporting daily operations and staff.
• Schedule associates, coordinate time off, and manage continuing education needs.
• Evaluate hospital processes, progress, and productivity to optimize growth.
• Coordinate with veterinary medical team, field leadership, and corporate headquarters.
• Lead and support a high‑performing team, fostering a positive client and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Required: Three years of related experience (health care, veterinary profession, service industry, etc.) with direct supervisory experience, including hiring and associate development.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem‑solving ability and conflict‑management experience.
• Leadership and analytical know‑how.
• Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and training associates.
