Job summary

Veterinary Eye Center of New York City in Hell’s Kitchen seeks a Practice Manager to lead daily operations alongside the Medical Director, driving clinical excellence and business success in a high-touch environment.

This is a full-time, in-practice role at our Hell’s Kitchen location with Monday–Friday schedule; not remote, no late nights or weekend shifts. Salary range $78,000–$85,000 plus a $5,000 sign-on and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a veterinary or medical hospital setting.
• Understanding of veterinary operations; ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in hospital administration, business management, or related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead a diverse team.
• Experience collaborating with clinical leadership to drive hospital-wide goals.
• Passion for animal welfare and delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Medical Director to align clinical goals with hospital operations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments.
• Implement policies and protocols to support patient care and team performance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of technicians, assistants, and staff.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor KPIs, review monthly P&Ls, and manage accounts receivable.
• Maintain client service standards and handle escalated concerns.
