Practice Manager of Operations

RLJ Dental is seeking a Practice Manager of Operations to join our team.

As a Practice Manager of Operations, you will be a valued business partner to the Doctor. This role involves guiding and supporting our team to deliver the best patient care to the community. Our goal is to hire and grow leaders who support each practice’s needs and foster camaraderie and support. Patients come first here, and continuous learning is encouraged!

More about the role

  1. Prioritize and complete all PMO Training to develop technical, commitment, and leadership skills.
  2. Set and pursue annual top 10 business goals and 16 personal development goals (5 technical, 5 commitment, 6 personality).
  3. Achieve goals and priorities of Doctors and teams through servant leadership.
  4. Participate in Bell Leadership Training every 18-24 months.
  5. Support the Doctor-led, hygiene-driven, operations-focused philosophy through monthly synergy meetings, weekly team meetings, and strong morning huddles.
  6. Focus team efforts to support Doctors in achieving their Top 10 Professional goals.
  7. Align with the doctor through daily one-on-ones, morning huddles, and weekly touchpoints to discuss communication, connection, and support.
  8. Serve as a business partner by collaborating on quarterly and annual financial goals.
  9. Assist Doctors in prioritizing, planning, and scheduling Continuing Education through Education and Leadership programs.
  10. Monitor progress of DMP benefits and metrics with the Doctor.
  11. Identify and support future team growth by selecting candidates (BA, DA, Hygienists) who are a strong match for the position and practice.
  12. Partner with Doctors to identify skills needed for open positions and select suitable team members.
  13. Onboard new team members in partnership with recruiting and support office.
  14. Support team members in training and growth through Core Essentials and beyond.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of leadership experience in a professional setting.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and develop solutions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Trustworthiness; maintain patient confidentiality and team ethics.

Preferred Experience

  • 1+ years in a dental or medical setting.
  • 1+ years experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
  • Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Prolonged sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Availability for virtual or in-person training sessions, with some travel involved.
  • A tuberculosis (TB) test is required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
