Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Practice Manager I to direct, supervise and coordinate daily activities of a Physician Practice. This role may oversee a mid-sized office and a Practice Supervisor, with a multi-specialty scope and up to 10 providers. Patient volumes typically average fewer than 400 visits weekly.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, policy development, and ensuring timely, courteous patient care within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in a Physician Practice or Healthcare setting.
• Understanding of teamwork and ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of office calendaring software and capabilities.
• Knowledge of customer support policies and procedures.
• Ability to use standard office software (word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets).
• Knowledge of and ability to use office e-mail software.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with coworkers, visitors, and staff per organizational values.
• Supervises Physician Practice operations to ensure prompt and courteous patient care.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures with upper management.
• Manages personnel issues including training, performance management and hiring decisions for designated office.
• Performs annual performance appraisals of support staff.
• Maintains a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
