Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in Hazleton is seeking a Practice Manager I to direct, supervise and coordinate daily Physician Practice activities. The role leads a multi-specialty office (up to 10 providers) with patient volumes averaging under 400 visits weekly, ensuring efficient operations and excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will oversee staff, help develop policies with leadership, manage personnel issues, and maintain a welcoming, safe environment aligned with LVHN's values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; 2 years in a Physician Practice or Healthcare setting; teamwork valued.
• Knowledge of and ability to use office calendaring software.
• Knowledge of the organization's customer support policies and ability to guide customers on all interactions.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to existing customer support service agreements and activities.
• Knowledge of and ability to use office tools (word processing, email, spreadsheets).
• Knowledge of and ability to use office email software.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Physician Practice operations to ensure prompt and courteous patient treatment.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures with upper management to maintain effective operations.
• Manages personnel issues including training, performance management and disciplinary actions; participates in hiring decisions for designated office.
• Performs annual written performance appraisals of support staff.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with LVHN values.
• Maintains a safe, efficient and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
