Job summary

South Texas Health System Clinics is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee day-to-day clinic operations, including scheduling, registration, billing, and compliance. The role involves leading staff, implementing policies, and ensuring high-quality patient care across multiple clinics in the Rio Grande Valley.

Experience in healthcare supervision and a Bachelor’s degree are required; CMPE certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent healthcare experience with supervision.
• 5–7 years healthcare experience with at least two years in a supervisor capacity.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all practice activities including scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing and collection, data entry and processing, cash posting, licenses and certifications, and inventory.
• Ensure smooth, accurate, efficient, safe, high quality, compliant operations of assigned medical practices per regulations.
• Develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures and uphold IPM and UHS policies.
• Facilitate consistent and productive communication and practice rounding with all practice personnel, including providers.

The Practice Manager is a key employee of STHS Clinics who assists our Practice Administrators from an operational standpoint. They help to run the day-to-day aspects of the clinics, they lead, coach, and inspire clinic staff.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Management of all practice activities including: patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing and collection, data entry and processing, cash posting, clinic certifications and licenses, required education, inventory and resource utilization.
• Ensure smooth, accurate, efficient, safe, high quality, compliant, productive operations of assigned medical practices in accordance with state, federal and local regulations and requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain office policies and procedures. Uphold IPM and UHS policies, goals and standards.
• Facilitate consistent and productive formal and informal communication and practice rounding with all practice personnel, including providers.

Qualifications

Requirements:
