Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MHA preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in managing medical practice.
  • Knowledge of practice operations, accounting and human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Be a leader that creates a positive staff culture.
  • Ensure excellence in patient, employee and physician satisfaction.
  • Oversee all practice operations.
  • Disseminate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Manage all aspects of the care center's compliance and risk management.
  • Be a knowledgeable super‑user on all staff positions in the care center.
  • Maintain established super‑user knowledge up‑to‑date and current.
  • Work with HR on hiring, progressive discipline, performance reviews and terminations.
  • Determine staffing schedules based on needs.
  • Train and coach all staff.
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment by designated personnel.
  • Manage physician schedules and templates in the practice management system.
  • Handle care center purchasing decisions.
  • Set annual budgets and financial planning goals.
  • Approve invoices and bills for payment.
  • Review daily routing tickets for appropriate charge collections.
  • Work with accounting to approve all accounts payable.
  • Work with the credentialing department to obtain physician signatures.
  • Work with Revenue Cycle to ensure maximized reimbursement is achieved.
  • Work with HR on employee relation issues.
  • Work with IT to communicate needs or deficiencies.
  • Promote the practice group brand and the care center physicians.
  • Monitor workflow dashboard and open tasks.
  • Attend scheduled manager meetings at executive office.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Schedule and coordinate monthly physician meetings.
  • Maintain physical appearance and organization of the office.
  • Coordinate regular staff meetings.
  • Travel to multiple offices, as required.

Duties you will be responsible for:

  • Handle care center purchasing decisions; working with preferred vendors; ordering supplies; and managing inventory
  • Set annual budgets and financial planning goals
  • Approve invoices and bills for payment in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial budgets
  • Review daily routing tickets for appropriate charge collections
  • Work with accounting to approve all accounts payable
  • Work with the credentialing department to obtain physician signatures or documentation
  • Work with Revenue Cycle to ensure maximized reimbursement is achieved
  • Work with HR and communicate all employee relation issues
  • Work with IT to communicate needs or deficiencies
  • Work with the CEO on practice operations
  • Promote the practice group brand and the care center physicians
  • Monitor workflow dashboard and open tasks
  • Attend scheduled manager meetings at executive office
  • Prepare monthly financial reports; weekly cash flow, physician productivity report, profit and loss, A/R report by insurance, etc.
  • Schedule and coordinate monthly physician meetings
  • Maintain physical appearance and organization of the office
  • Coordinate regular staff meetings
  • Travel to multiple offices, as required
  • Other duties as assigned
