Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience in applicable functional area such as optometry or customer service.
• Optician licensure or certification by a nationally recognized optician association preferred but not required depending on state.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and strong commitment to helping people.
• Ability to lead, motivate and promote a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow and patient care to ensure high patient experience.
• Coordinate scheduling, recalls, insurance verifications, intake/checkout, and claims processing.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff; apprise supervisor of successes and concerns.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve workflow issues and implement training procedures.
• Act as point of contact for patient inquiries and complaints to maintain patient satisfaction.
• Support marketing programs and special projects as needed.
• Participate in hiring and interview processes for open positions.
