Job summary

Toole Design Group in Oakland, CA seeks a Practice Lead to integrate transportation engineering and multimodal planning, guiding a team of engineers and planners while delivering major projects and strengthening client relationships.

You will mentor staff, shape the firm’s technical direction, lead business development, and collaborate with Design and Planning Directors. A PE is preferred; PTOE/AICP a plus; hybrid in-office Tue-Thu.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in transportation engineering and multimodal planning.
• PE license preferred; PTOE and/or AICP credentials are a plus.
• Proven track record leading integrated teams and complex projects.
• Experience in business development and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated transportation engineering and multimodal planning practice.
• Mentor engineers and planners and guide business development.
• Oversee major transportation projects and strengthen client relationships.
• Collaborate with Design and Planning Directors and reporting to Engineering Director.
