CLEAResult is seeking a Practice Consultant in the United States to lead design and commercialization of energy solutions for utility and public-sector programs. The role focuses on crafting client-specific programs and aligning delivery teams to ensure feasibility and measurable outcomes.

The position requires cross-functional collaboration across BD, delivery, engineering, product, IT, and marketing, with a strong emphasis on market awareness and strategy execution.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management, electrification, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success supporting the design and delivery of energy programs or solutions.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and data interpretation skills.

This role focuses on developing client-specific solutions during the sales and proposal process, and on working with delivery teams to help ensure those solutions are executable, scalable, and deliver measurable outcomes in market.The Practice Consultant operates as a solution designer, collaborator, and contributor to practice-building, supporting program design across geographies while helping strengthen organizational capabilities, refine offerings, and drive growth.Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & CommercializationSupport solution design for pursuits, including measure strategies, program structure, budgets, and pricing.Translate market, regulatory, and client needs into tailored program designs.Develop solution specifications tailored to a specific client, geography, or location, in alignment with delivery capabilities and technical requirements.Contribute to development of compelling, defensible proposals that support successful pursuit outcomes.Solution Support & HandoffSupport continuity between proposal assumptions and program execution during handoff to the Program Delivery team.Partner with delivery teams to help ensure designed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with operational realities.Work with teams to finalize solution specifications, ensuring the value proposition is incorporated into RFP responses or Statements of Work (SOWs).Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with cross-functional teams across business development, delivery, engineering, product, IT, and marketing.Help align stakeholders around unified solution strategies and navigate competing priorities to support cohesive program designs.Operate with some independence while taking direction in time-sensitive and complex environments.Practice Contribution & Skill DevelopmentApply and help refine solution design methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency in program design.Contribute to development of training materials and knowledge-sharing initiatives.Market & Industry AwarenessMaintain working knowledge of DSM, electrification, and distributed energy resource programs, including regulatory and evaluation considerations.Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform solution strategies.Support occasional client presentations; prior experience in a client-facing role is desirable.Product & Offering SupportWork with Product, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams to support the direction of solutions and service offerings.Help identify gaps in current offerings aligned with market demand.Commercial SupportContribute to revenue growth through development of solutions and competitive positioning.Support pricing strategies, cost modeling, and financial analyses to ensure commercial viability.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in energy efficiency, demand-side management, electrification, or related fields.Demonstrated success supporting the design and delivery of energy programs or solutions.Strong financial modeling, analytical, and data interpretation skills (Excel, PowerBI or similar tools).Familiarity with regulated utility environments, filings, and evaluation frameworks.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver results under tight timelines.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting program offerings across multiple markets.Demonstrated expertise in process design, workflow mapping, and operational optimization.Experience leveraging advanced analytics or AI tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.Background in engineering, economics, environmental science, DSM programming or related analytical or DSM-based disciplines.DOT RequirementsIf applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.Compensation Range$65,800.00 - $98,700.00CurrencyUSDTypeSalaryAny offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.CLEAResult will not provide sponsorship or support for immigration status or work authorization including for international students.
