Job summary

Planit is seeking a strategic PR Director to lead integrated public relations across its B2B client roster. The role champions executive visibility, industry positioning, and reputation management while mentoring the team.

You will contribute to new business pitches, write strategic scopes, and convert agency success into client acquisitions. Candidates should have a minimum of 10+ years in PR, strong media relationships, and experience guiding multi-account campaigns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in public relations across B2B or agency settings.
• Experience with B2B influencer management and SMEs as thought leaders.
• Crisis communications, issues management, and corporate reputation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, communications, or related field.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Creative collaboration beyond strategic discipline.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Occasional after-hours work for urgent media requests.
• Ability to travel domestically during the work week.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PR accounts, develop/execute PR strategies, manage budgets.
• Develop executive visibility programs: speaking engagements, industry awards, bylined articles.
• Partner with leadership on new business, speculative PR strategies for RFPs and pitches.
• Write scopes of work for new/existing clients and estimate projects.
• Deliver clear PR strategies, POVs, and client presentations.
• Manage PR tools usage, renewals, and new tool recommendations.
• Assist with hiring, development, and promotion of team members.
• Support department management tasks as needed by supervisor.
• Ensure workload balance and cross-department awareness.
• Keep leadership updated on client work and team health.
• Onboard new team members effectively.
• Other duties as assigned.
