Job summary

City of Houston is seeking a Warehouse Operations/Procurement/Warehouse Management team member to manage PPE, EMS supplies, and station materials at the Distribution Center (Reporting Location: 1205 DART).

Responsibilities include requisition, receiving, storage, and coordinating with SPD (Purchasing) to ensure SAP records match physical items; lifting up to 50 pounds; workdays Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; may be on call during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Three months of inventory control or materials management experience.
• Forklift and other materials handling equipment experience may be required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Requisition, receiving, and storage of PPE and supplies.
• Coordinate procurement with SPD (Purchasing) for hard-to-find materials.
• Ensure SAP documentation matches physical items during receiving.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and storage areas.
• Assist with inventory recovery and secure storage conditions.
• Perform general warehouse duties and support during emergencies.
