City of Houston is seeking a Warehouse Operations/Procurement/Warehouse Management team member to manage PPE, EMS supplies, and station materials at the Distribution Center (Reporting Location: 1205 DART).
Responsibilities include requisition, receiving, storage, and coordinating with SPD (Purchasing) to ensure SAP records match physical items; lifting up to 50 pounds; workdays Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; may be on call during emergencies.

Responsible for managing vital Fire Fighting and EMS, Personal Protection Equipment, and Station supplies as required by HFD. Responsibilities include the requisition, receiving, and storage of all PPE and supplies. Must be able to work closely with SPD (Purchasing) in coordinating the procurement of hard-to-find materials. At times, this position requires an ability to work separately from the other members of the distribution team. This is a crucial position in the chain of care for the citizens of Houston.
The position requires lifting heavy items of up to 50 pounds and/or walking on rough surfaces routinely. There are routine discomforts from exposure to moderate heart, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions. The position may involve routine exposure to soiled materials and light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions.
Requires a high school diploma or a GED.
Three months of inventory control, materials management, record keeping or clerical experience is required. May require experience in operating a forklift and other motorized or non-motorized materials handling equipment.
May require a valid Texas driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving.
