Job summary

RPM xConstruction, LLC is seeking a Truck Operator to move and transport materials on our Texas-based construction sites. You will perform routine maintenance, follow loading and unloading procedures, and report any mechanical issues to supervision.

The role requires basic English literacy, the ability to follow directions, and the physical capacity to handle weights up to 25 pounds. Expect a high-noise environment and a schedule that includes early hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic understanding of English to read work instructions.
• Ability to follow directions accurately.
• Ability to meet physical demands (lift up to 25 pounds) and sometimes stand or squat.
• Position requires 5% outside inspection and 95% sitting and operating the equipment.
• Exposure to noisy work environments is expected.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operates truck to move and/or transport materials as required by jobsite
• Perform routine maintenance on the truck, such as oil changes and tire rotations
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials
• Report any mechanical issues to the supervisor
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines

• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Position spends approximately 5% of time outside inspecting and maintaining the equipment, which may involve standing, squatting, bending, lying, or in various other positions to reach the machine. Position spends approximately 95% of the time sitting and operating the equipment.
• Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
• Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machines and chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
