Job summary

RPM xConstruction, LLC, a Texas-based design and construction company, seeks a delivery driver to support field mechanics and dispatch. You will plan routes, deliver parts to the jobsite and vendors, and ensure on-time arrivals.

This full-time role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Class C license, and at least one year of delivery experience. You must read work instructions in English, follow directions, and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current, valid Class C driver’s license.
• Minimum of one year experience as a delivery person.
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responds to requests from Field Mechanics or Dispatch to deliver parts in the field as directed, planning and mapping the best route, arriving within the scheduled timeframe 98% of the time.
• Delivers parts from Shop or parts vendors, as required.
• Builds and maintains working relationships with parts vendors.
• Attends all scheduled meetings, missing no more than 10% annually.
• Punches in and out for each shift and meal period with no more than 1 error per quarter.
• Provides excellent customer service, for both internal and external customers.
• Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times.
• Follows all OSHA, DOT, and other safety guidelines.
• Manages any stress on the job, including but not limited to meeting deadlines.
• Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious injury occurred during the prior 12-month period.
• Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current, valid Class C driver’s license.
• Minimum of one year experience as a delivery person.
• Basic understanding of English to read and understand work instructions and safety information.
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, sitting, squatting, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds.
• Position spends approximately 10% of time climbing in and out of vehicle to obtain parts from Shop or vendors. Position spends approximately 90% of the time sitting and driving the service truck.
• Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range.
• Ability to manage stress.
• Must be available for work 5am – 6pm Monday through Saturdays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to machines and chemicals at various times. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
