Job summary

ElDorado National California Inc. in Riverside, CA is seeking an Engineer III to oversee powertrain design, development, and analysis for heavy-duty buses. You will use CAD tools to create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings while guiding engineering changes and BOM preparation.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Engineering and 4–7 years of related experience, with CAD software expertise (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo) and knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 4–7 years of related experience.
• CAD software experience with Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo.
• Familiarity with Cummins IQA processes and related software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of powertrain components and systems for heavy-duty vehicles.
• Use CAD to model 3D designs and produce 2D drawings.
• Define test requirements and interpret results to validate designs.
• Execute engineering changes through ECN processes and document accordingly.
• Lead creation and review of material specifications and BOMs.
• Understand manufacturing processes with emphasis on metal fabrication and assemblies.
• Apply lean principles to manufacturing and business processes.
