Job summary

ElDorado National California Inc. seeks a Senior Powertrain Engineer to lead electric motor development and eDrive integration for ENC’s electric vehicles in Riverside, CA.

The role focuses on systematical specifications, motor assembly, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-performance propulsion solutions. Ideal candidates have a solid background in electric motor theory, EV integration, and production validation, with leadership experience in a dynamic, cross-functional team

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience with electrical machine or electric drive product development.
• Experience with electric vehicle integration and operation.
• Experience with the commercial vehicle industry.
• Experience with the electric motor assembly and manufacture.
• Experience with the electric motor characterization and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop electric motor solutions for electric propulsion systems, architect and optimize propulsion.
• Gather requirements for eMotor from internal customers and market demands.
• Integrate eDrive design with vehicle and motor control teams.
• Perform root cause analysis of eMotor system failures.
• Identify opportunities for product improvements.
• Contribute to field performance reviews and communicate with field personnel.
• Understand motor losses and flux; develop test plans and measurements.
• Lead the team to characterize the motor and operate the EOL test.
• Explore and design innovative motor technologies.
