Actalent is seeking a Powertrain Digital Engineer for a contract position in Georgetown, KY. The role emphasizes digital engineering support for powertrain components and production preparation, with a focus on reducing costs and lead times.

The ideal candidate will manage drawings, layouts, and 3D models across AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, Revit, and related Autodesk tools. Strong communication and project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering preferred, or Technical Degree in CAE with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, powertrain assembly.
• Intermediate to advanced CAD capability in listed Autodesk tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise production operation drawings in AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain production line layouts with engineering groups.
• Perform 3D model comparisons using Catia or other 3D apps.
• Render and evaluate 3D models for project studies using Navisworks, Revit, and more.
• Conduct production line simulations to confirm capacity and identify improvements.
• Collect and evaluate point cloud data to support studies.
• Investigate new tools to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Support manufacturing site activities from concept through validation.
