Job summary
A leader in automotive engineering is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and optimize operating processes for the Powertrain department. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in automotive pre-production and manufacturing engineering, Automation expertise, and familiarity with 3D CAD software. Responsibilities include leading assembly lines and managing project schedules and budgets. The role is based in Georgetown, KY, and relocation is required.
Responsibilities
Develop and improve operating process plans for the Powertrain department.
Lead and implement engine/transmission machining or assembly lines.
Maintain schedule and budget for the project area.
Create and optimize standard tools and benchmarks.
Participate in cross-functional working groups.
Visualize plans and schedules for project consensus.
Analyze and communicate manufacturing issues clearly.
Skills
Automotive pre-production or manufacturing engineering experience
Automation expertise
3D CAD experience (Catia or Delmia)
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) familiarity
Design for Manufacturing / Simultaneous Engineering experience
Internal Logistics experience
Quality Process Set Up skills
