About the job you’re considering

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled engineer to join our Powertrain Calibration team. This role focuses on the Calibration and Validation of Core Engine Functions across BSG, PHEV, and ICE variants. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in internal combustion engine fundamentals and a passion for developing robust calibration strategies.

Your Role:

  • Calibrate and validate core engine functions including - Air-flow estimation, Emissions calibration, Torque estimation, Thermal model calibration, Engine rating.
  • Develop and execute test plans in alignment with calibration processes.
  • Post-process test data to support robust calibration development and maturity milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Calibration and Propulsion Systems.
  • Participate in and support calibration development trips.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to resolve engineering challenges and meet functional objectives.
  • Support ECM software validation on HIL, engine dynamometer, and in-vehicle environments.
  • Track and resolve software issues and customer concerns.
  • Develop new methodologies to support emerging functions and improve test efficiency and quality.
  • Train and support development teams in adopting new methodologies.
  • Facilitate feedback loops between development and design teams.
  • Identify and specify needs for new analysis tools.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and core engine calibration.
  • Experience with engine dynamometer or similar test environments.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems and diagnostic tools (ECM, TCM, etc.).
  • High proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Eagerness to learn and continuously improve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Powertrain Systems Engineering (Engine HW, Controls/SW, Calibration).
  • Hands-on experience with engine dynamometer and test cell instrumentation.
  • Background in drivability and emissions calibration, especially for hybrid powertrains.
  • Proficiency with calibration tools such as INCA, AVL CRETA.
  • Knowledge of HIL validation methodologies.
  • Understanding of vehicle and battery systems.
