Job summary

Moto United Powersports in Saint George, UT seeks a Service Writer to be the primary contact for customers, guiding them through the repair process and coordinating service needs. You will document concerns, communicate updates, and help ensure a timely, satisfying service experience.

Responsibilities include creating Repair Orders, performing close customer follow-up, and supporting shop operations. Valid driver's license and ability to handle light physical tasks are required.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with Lightspeed or similar point-of-sale software, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Understanding of warranty policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with Powersports brands such as Polaris, Indian, BRP, and Triumph is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships.
• Support daily service operations and communicate with the Service Manager.
• Create and complete Repair Orders (ROs) accurately, including necessary documentation.
• Check for machine recalls and conduct vehicle walk-arounds during check-in/out.
• Keep customers informed on service status and schedule appointments.
• Verify post-service test drives and ensure vehicles are cleaned before pickup.
• Process payments, review service quality, and confirm warranty applicability.
• Conduct follow-up calls for customer satisfaction and feedback.
• Assist with marketing, shop scheduling, and operational efficiency.
• Stay up to date with training and brand-specific service requirements.
