Job summary

You will review design specs, drive root-cause analysis, mentor engineers, coordinate across functions, and push process improvements while aligning with business goals. Occasional travel may be required; a bachelor's in engineering and 8+ years in powersports/auto with leadership experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in Powersports or Automotive with 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership and communication; ability to resolve conflicts and handle confidential information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, FTA, FMEA, CAD software, and CAE principles.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing design specifications, calculations, drawings, and documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Leading problem-solving efforts for development and production issues through root cause analysis and risk mitigation.
• Guiding and mentoring team members to achieve development goals, fostering organizational capability.
• Facilitating effective communication across functions and representing the team in management and supplier discussions.
• Driving process improvements, standardization, and best practice sharing within the engineering function.
• Participating in hiring, performance evaluations, and workforce planning to maintain a capable team.
• Contributing to project planning, policy adherence, and operational activities.
