Job summary

Medxcel in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate and monitor HVAC systems and power generation at St. Joseph's Hospital. You will perform preventive maintenance, document data, and respond to outages to ensure reliable facility operations.

The role supports the Facilities department with day-to-day maintenance, data logging, and coordinating with other hospital teams. A relevant license and a high school diploma or trade school completion are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of trade school preferred.
• Relevant license may be required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Operates and controls primary power generation and HVAC systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, reactors, chillers, and cooling towers using control boards and computers.
• Monitors facility equipment, meters, gauges, and charts to regulate power flow and detect problems.
• Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent deterioration or failure.
• Records and compiles operational data in logs, forms, and reports, documenting equipment malfunctions.
• Responds to power outages and emergencies by handling outage calls and participating in mandatory meetings and trainings.
