Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a facility systems technician to operate and oversee power generation and HVAC systems at Wheaton Franklin Hospital. In this full-time day-shift role, you will monitor equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to outages to keep critical hospital operations uninterrupted.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or trade school background and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Must have one or more of the following licenses or certifications.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Graduate of trade school.
2 years of relevant work experience; other equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

Operates and controls primary power generation and HVAC systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, reactors, chillers, and cooling towers using control boards and computers.
Monitors facility equipment, meters, gauges, and charts to regulate power flow and detect issues.
Performs preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent equipment deterioration.
Records and compiles operational data in logs and reports, documenting equipment malfunctions for tracking.
Responds to outages and emergencies by handling outage calls and coordinating necessary personnel.
